About Emmy Squared Pizza: Park Slope

With our first location in Williamsburg Brooklyn in 2016, Emmy Squared Pizza is part of the Pizza Loves Emily family of restaurants, co-founded by Emily Hyland and executive chef Matthew Hyland, with partners Howard Greenstone and Ken Levitan. Offering quality ingredients and deliciously unique toppings, our signature Detroit-style pizza is marked by its square shape, crispy bottom, fluffy dough, cheesy "frico" crust, and signature sauce stripes. Our famed double-stack burger, the Le Big Matt, was named β€˜#1 Best Burger in Nashville’ by The Tennessean and Nashville Lifestyles, voted one of β€˜The Best New Burgers In NYC’ by Gothamist, and listed as one of the β€˜20 Best Burgers in NYC’ by The Infatuation.

I’m sitting here after a fantastic meal basking in the glorious ambiance. I’ve been hoping to try the famed Emmy Squared for years and am so glad I stopped in tonight. The service truly could not have been better: we were diligently waited upon by both Emma (so on brand!) and Charlie (good ol’ Chuck) and couldn’t have wanted for more attentive servers. I wish I could take them with me to every restaurant I dine at in the future! The food was fantastic as well; it was truly difficult to select what I wanted off the menu and am sure I’ll be back to try more. The ambiance is delightful: the patio is like sitting outside while still being enclosed enough to be protected from the wind and cold. And the music is perfect; I feel like I’ve been taken back into a 90s rom com. Wow! I don’t know if I’ve ever gushed about a restaurant this much but this was a truly delightful Friday night. Thanks to Emmy squared but especially to Emma & Charlie!

We found ourselves on a quick 2 day trip to Brooklyn to attend a music concert. After traveling all day we began looking for a place to eat dinner. We ventured in to Emmy’s purely at random. The food is delicious and the staff was so nice and accommodating. We ended up returning the next evening for dinner as well. Definitely would eat there again if we are back in the area.

**5/5 Stars** Second visit, and this place just keeps getting better. After our last experience, we knew we had to come back β€” and it did not disappoint. The food was on point again. The Matt burger was great, and the pizza sticks were absolutely delicious β€” a must-order. The kitchen clearly knows what they're doing, and the quality has been consistent across both visits. But let's talk about Shay. If you read my first review, you know I was already a fan β€” and he delivered once again. Attentive, warm, and genuinely passionate about what he does, Shay is the kind of server who elevates the entire experience. On our last visit he recommended the Lavender 75 mocktail, and this time I finally took his advice and ordered it with tequila. Incredible. Perfectly balanced and exactly what he said it would be β€” I should have listened sooner. Two visits in, Shay has been the highlight both times. Do yourself a favor: ask for him by name, try the burger and pizza sticks, and absolutely order the Lavender 75 with tequila. Five well-earned stars.

It is my first time here at Emmy squared as my husband had the biggest craving since his first bite last week (from the Upper East side location). His craving was insatiable, so we drove all the way here from Queens. From the moment we walked in, Ivan greeted us and sat us promptly. He was so efficient in taking our order as we wanted a separate pie to go for our children. Ivan suggested that since we were dining in we should remind him to place that order closer to when we’re done so the pie is fresh β€”we didn’t need to remind him! He put it in for us as we got the check. Ivan, you are the best! Thank you for the wonderful service! Guys, if don’t like pineapple on your pizza, you’re missing out on life by not eating this. Trust when I say we’ll definitely be back!
